A small,
comfortable and rustic village hotel with 20 rooms, located
in Cuetzalan, Puebla.
The Hotel La Casa de Piedra is located in an ancient large
house in the center of the town of Cuetzalan. At the
beginning this house was the most important store of the
region and years later, during the previous century, it
became one of the most important centers for the treatment
of coffee grains in the region.
In its interiors, the hotel has conserved the original works
of its walls and structure and some of the original
equipment used for the treatment of coffee, such as the
serpentin – the water channel for the washing of the coffee,
the motors from the dryer and the peeling machine, as well
as some manual peeling machines, a mortar, a manual mixer
and an ancient scale, among many other things.
Today, La Casa de Piedra, is a hotel with the comforts of
modern life and a beautiful garden, where everything is
surrounded by the magic of a rustic atmosphere in which one
can breathe and enjoy the tranquility of the Cuetzalan of
the past.
