Casa Felipe Flores is a beautiful and comfortable historic landmark, registered as Historical Colonial Monument by the National Institute of Anthropology and History – INAH, located four blocks from San Cristobal’s main plaza, furnished with Guatemalan and Mexican pieces. The colonial house also features Talavera tiles and collectibles from nearby Mayan villages.

Casa Felipe Flores offers a wonderful setting and base to enjoy all or part of your vacation in Chiapas. Owners Nancy and David Orr and Manager Amin Lopez are available during your stay to share their knowledge of Mayan history and culture, holidays and festivals and San Cristobal's many attractions. There are also a number of options for tours of the surrounding areas, which can be arranged on our premises.

This beautifully restored colonial house is the perfect setting for exploring the historic attractions of San Cristobal and the surrounding areas. The patios and common rooms are relaxing and comfortable, and their architectural details are very colonial. The guest rooms are nicely furnished and full of character, being especially cozy during the winter days.

Surrounding the classic front courtyard with its beautiful plantings, the common area includes a handsome living room, dining room, and den, each of them with a fireplace. Two double bedrooms are also accessed from this courtyard. The other three additional bedrooms are located in the back courtyard.

An excellent cook is an integral part of the house and serves breakfasts to order. Guests have their choice of eating in the dining room or outside in either of the flower-filled courtyards. A full self-service bar is also available. Breakfast a la carte is included in the rooms’ rates.

For special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons, etc., arrangements can be made for special cakes as well as live mariachi or marimba music. Also, from time to time, artists, anthropologists, archaeologists, etc. are invited to Casa Felipe Flores for interesting conversation.

Everything is within walking distance of Casa Felipe Flores although moderately priced taxi service is also available.
