The Cultural – Tourist Center Chan-Kah Resort & Village is an ecological center integrated in Palenque’s jungle, located in a wonderful place just three kilometers from the entrance to the Palenque Archeological Zone, considered by the UNESCO as Cultural Patrimony of Humanity. It is only a ten minutes drive to the center of the town of Palenque.

The surroundings of Chan-Kah is lush and tropical jungle with a splendid flora and fauna, and where one can finds tropical trees like the Guayacan trees with their golden yellow flowers, red bromeliads, coconut palms with golden fruits, chestnut trees with their spherical fruits and enormous leaves, etc. Here also thrive flowers of all colors, multicolored bougainvilleas and red and yellow Isoras. The wild animals, such as the armadillos, opossums, howler monkeys coexist with hundreds of birds creating a symphony of music and color. Through the southern part of the property runs the crystal clear water of the Michol river, giving the same name to the valley where the hotel is located and connecting with the sacred Mayan river Otulum at the Archaeological Zone of Palenque.

Accommodations:
Feel comfortable and enjoy the “casitas” (small houses,) which have individually furnished terraces and all the amenities needed. The hotel has:

·    Six casitas suites - : Casitas, each one with two bedrooms, salon and dining area

·    73 casitas junior suites – Casitas of one bedroom only

Each casita has a view to the lush gardens and breakfast is included in the room rates.

Facilities and services:

·    Two restaurants-bar: Ik (Sun) and Ya´x (Blue,) with terraces and view of the pool and gardens, the best ambiance and excellent regional dishes

·    Four natural swimming pools integrated into the jungle. One of them is designed like a lagoon – cenote (sacred well) of three levels with pool bar service, a bridge with natural waterfalls, terraces for sunbathing surrounded by the jungle. The beautiful river stone work creates the illusion of a natural blue pond, only much more user friendly. There are plenty of lounges to relax after a day of visiting the ruins, and the pool side bar service is not to be missed. There is also a swimming pool next to the casitas suite and casitas junior suites with a natural waterfall, surrounded by lush tropical gardens

Events and Conventions:
The hotel has six professional rooms for meetings, events or conventions and the personnel of the hotel will guarantee the success of the events. The conventions center has a capacity up to 1000 pax and has a conference room that can be divided into four independent rooms with a capacity of 100 pax each. All conference rooms are air-conditioned, there is Internet access, press room, reception, rental of equipment and video, rental of furniture, executive saloons, exhibitions lobby, bathrooms, outdoor covered terraces with view to the jungle surrounding the property and one outdoors terrace for events which features a pool, waterfall and bridge.
