Day 1
MÉXICO – ARRIVAL, TRANSFER
Welcome to
México City,
transfer from the “Benito Juarez” International Airport to the
Casa Vieja Boutique Hotel.
Overnight.

Day 2
MÉXICO CITY
Morning tour of the city, visiting the National Palace with its
beautiful murals, painted by the great Mexican muralist Diego
Rivera. Thereafter, the Constitution Square, the Central Plaza
or “Zocalo” and the Metropolitan Cathedral as well as some of
the main avenues. We will later visit the Chapultepec Park and
one of the most important residential areas of México City, in
addition to the “Zona Rosa.” Return to the hotel, the rest of
the day at leisure. |

Day 3
MÉXICO CITY - TAXCO
Early in the morning we will travel to Cuernavaca, the city of
the Eternal Spring, called this way due to its warm year round
climate. We will visit sights such as one of the oldest
cathedrals on the American continent, the Palace of Cortés, and
more. From there, the journey continues to the beautiful city of
Taxco, “World Silver Capital”, home to the famous Cathedral
Santa Prisca, with its impressive Chirriguerresque style.
Afterwards, a walk along Taxco´s lovely cobblestone streets,
giving you an opportunity to admire the silver-work made by
local craftsmen. Overnight at the
Posada de la Misión.

Day 4
TAXCO - ACAPULCO
Departure for the paradise port of Acapulco. Overnight at the
luxurious
Hotel Quinta Real.
Afternoon at leisure.

Day 5
ACAPULCO
We head for the pier to board the yacht “Bonanza,” which will
take us on a three hour cruise on the beautiful bay of Acapulco
(this includes a bar serving free domestic drinks.) We will be
able to view the residential areas where famous and
distinguished live, local and international actors, the
traditional “Quebrada” cliffs, home to renowned cliff divers and
the bay of Puerto Marquez. Overnight at the
Hotel Quinta Real.

Day 6
ACAPULCO - MÉXICO CITY
At the indicated time, we return back to México City. Overnight
at the
Casa Vieja Boutique Hotel.

MÉXICO CITY
Day at leisure. Overnight at the
Casa Vieja Boutique Hotel.

Day 8
MÉXICO CITY, TRANSFER AND DEPARTURE
We will start our tour to the south of the city, visiting the
Siqueiros Cultural Polyforum, the monumental México’s Bull Ring
and the Insurgentes Theater with its mosaic mural featuring
Cantinflas, painted by Diego Rivera. Next we will see the
University of Ciudad de México and its famous library decorated
all over with the mosaic murals of Juan O’Gorman, the Olympic
stadium and the residential area of Pedregal de San Angel, built
on lava fields. Finally, we will arrive at the peaceful waters
of the Xochimilco canals, the last traces of the Aztec era,
where we will enjoy a relaxing trip on a traditional punt or
pre-Hispanic boat. From there, the trip continues to the
Coyoacan, an impressive colonial district, where we will walk
down Francisco Sosa Street with its big, old, rambling houses
from the 16th century. At the main square, one finds
the mansion of the "Conquistador" Hernán Cortés and the Church
of Saint John the Baptist with its beautiful paintings and
altarpieces. At the time indicated, departure for home
destination or optional add-ons “BOMBONES,”
an extension for your vacations en México.
